Sam Ward

Back in the saddle, literally, again. This is not the first rodeo for Sam, either on the travel front or biking. Sam biked across the US as a high schooler back in 2005 and paid his dues on the notorious Western Express through the Nevada Desert. Since then Sam has earned Eagle, traveled to Patagonia, hiked Kilimanjaro, guided in Alaska, and built houses for Habitat in Guatemala. This summer Sam is joining the Cycle 20Ten crew as a photo journalist and working on a project for his Honors Thesis at UNC-Chapel Hill. With a lot less passes then the Rocky Moutains and more corn than anyone can imagine, he’ll find this ride a bit more relaxed I’m sure.
